My doctor has prescribed a triptan drug to try - I haven't had an attack yet (typical). I know I need to take it as soon as a migraine starts, however if it doesn't work, can I follow it up with a dose of either paracetamol or ibuprofen as I would for a normal attack? Or is it just a case of tough luck, it hasn't worked?
